New way to order + a whole load of small design changes

It's been nearly 13 years since we launched 20Q online (it existed in paper format for a few years before then), and in that time, we've adopted many different designs. But, our goal has always been the same — to provide a clean and simple interface that everyone can use.

This month, we've improved our sign in and account pages and improved the card design for all of our tools. We've also completely reworked our ordering system.

Improved

Order & Pay Online

New Ordering Screen

The old shop has been replaced with a stream-lined order page which we've completely reworked to be as simple as possible and also provide you with more payment options.

You can pay by Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. If you have an Organisation Account, you can also choose to pay by invoice / bank transfer.

You have to create an Individual Account or Organisation Account before you can place an order.

New

Merchant of Record

To make this new ordering process possible, we've teamed up with Paddle to act as our Merchant of Record (MOR). When you place your orders, your payment will be processed by Paddle — they calculate and collect sales taxes due in your country — which means we can focus on providing you with a better experience (and stop spending our precious time filing accounts!).

If you pay by credit card, you will notice PADDLE and 20Q LIMITED listed as the payment reference.

Also

Small, but important interface changes

We've made dozens of small updates to the design of the app, some you'll notice and others you might not.

Buttons

Buttons

We've increased the spacing around the button text to improve legibility and we've added some hover states to improve usability.

Badges

Badges

We've cleaned up the badge design — these badges are used to indicate status and progress of everything from Leadership 360°s to orders.

Layout

Layout

We've reduced the width of the main content to make it easier to read and swapped from a two-column layout to a simpler one-column layout.

Cards

Cards

We've increased the size of the licence cards. While the cards take up more room on the screen, they are now simpler and easier to understand.
